With gradual advancement of policies for invigorating equipment manufacturing industry, general machinery will get support in further. Petroleum industry, electricity, metallurgy, chemical engineering will enhance the demands for valves. However, high-end valve products still rely on importing.
At present, 50% of global valve components are purchased from China. In fact for OEM (original equipment manufacturer), more than 50% of valve products are purchased from china. Global purchase of petroleum equipments are driving China's valve industry to enter into international market.
Current, most of valve products being used for power unit are made in China. High pressure, large caliber valves widely utilized for pipelines have realized nationalization. China's valve manufacturers also can provide high quality valve products for oil refinery.
Manufacturing of low-end valve products are transferring to China or other developing countries. More and more foreign customers purchase valves made in China. Otherwise, management of domestic supply chain is realizing internationalization gradually. To long-term development, internationalization is the only choice for enterprises, including internationalization of business structure, marketing channel, design and quality control, enhancing international after-sales service and oversea crisis management skills.
However, China's valve manufacturers are facing with serious situations, such as low prices of products, increasing labor cost and increasing raw materials prices. Most of valve products provided by China's valve manufacturers are low-end products, having low technical content. High-end valve products sold in domestic market are mainly imported. For that, China's high-end product market is monopolized by foreign valve manufacturers.
China has published the policies for invigorating equipment manufacturing industry especially general machinery. China are facing with transformation from agricultural age to industrial age, which increases demands for valve products and bring new challenges and opportunities for China's valve market.
