There is no doubt that it is fairly difficult to fuel an entire chemical plant, but it is not that impossible for many American chemical companies with the boom of natural gas. The sudden explosion of fossil fuels results in the so-called “Industrial Renaissance” according to experts. However, the reason that oil and natural gas, which we once had thought to be running out, flourish all of a sudden deserves discussing.
A large amount of oil and natural gas have been reserved in shale formations across the country for thousands of years, and we were not capable of reaching them before, without adequate technology, even not able to measure the amount of them. In the wake of development of new technologies and equipments, we get to realize that there are great deals of fuels available in the shale beds all over the United States.
The prices of fossil fuels have dropped significantly since the upburst of fossil fuel, especially the price of natural gas. Natural gas burns much cleaner than oil and the shale extraction method of natural gas can reduce the cost of fueling an industrial plant greatly, a quarter reductions comparing to how much it costs in Europe.
The National Association of Manufacturers deems that the shale boom will add at least one million manufacturing jobs in America by the year 2025, and it also has boosted output, with more than 3% new orders. Besides, it allures many industrial giants on repatriating jobs that they had sent overseas previously. What has changed in the past few years proves that the boom of fossil fuels is the primary and indispensible element in revolutionizing and revitalizing American industrial companies.
