When the second Valve World Americas 2013 Expo & Conference was held at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston on June 25, 2013, there was a wonderful chance for learning prior to the conference. It is a Valves and Actuators 101 education program supplied by the Valve Manufacturers Association which aimed to help newcomers of this industrial field to initiate their career, while at the same time to conduct a specialized review of valve, actuator, and basic knowledge of control valves. The day before the conference, all presenters will have a discussion about the major types of valve and actuator. A certificate of completion, CD with presentations, lunch and afternoon snack, and complimentary entrance to the exposition will be in preparation for those who attend the course.
The 2013 Valve World Americas Expo & Conference is an ideal complement to the valves and actuators course, because the exposition offers an international but American-focused platform where current and up-to-date technical and commercial information and experience can be exchanged, plus the brand-new industrial technologies, developments and products. The steering committee members are mostly consists of VMA member companies and their end-user clients.
There will be primarily workshops themed by material selection, fugitive emissions, fitness for service, updates in cryo technology, unconventional energy and much more of this kind. Everyday will have basic topic content, for instance, they will discuss the general prospect of energy and new challenge in this field.
In addition, there will be 147 exhibitors from 15 countries presenting the latest and most advanced products of all kinds, including valves, valve-related products and valve–related piping products, as well as seals and sealing materials, engineering and leak detection, and valve repair services. While exhibiting the products, there will also be Valve Manufacturers Association staff alongside to answer the questions about the VMA, and hand out copies of VALVE Magazine and the latest Valve Catalog.
