Analysis of Demands for Valve Products in China

As closing components of transmission systems, valve has functions of cutting off, regulating, river diversion, avoiding back flow, voltage stabilization, decompression, etc. Being key components for pipelines, valve products have been widely utilized in energy, petroleum, metallurgy, electricity and other industries.
 
In recent years, competition in global valve market is fiercer and fiercer. For the limitation of raw materials prices and labor cost, global valve manufacturing bases are shifting to developing countries. With the influence of high economic development, policies support, low raw material prices and labor cost, valve industry in China and other developing countries develops at a high speed. Export of products and market share expand highly, taking place of the U.S., Japan and other developed countries, having become the most important manufacturing base and sales market.
 
From January to December, 2013, nationwide total output of valve was 8,002,394.78 tons, increased by 4.12% from the same time in 2012.
 
From 2014 to 2018, especially during 12th five-year plan, the demands for valve products will be increased in further. Firstly, at the end of 12th five-year plan, coverage of nationwide affordable housing will reach to about 20%. The construction of affordable housing will promote the demands for valve products to increase. Secondly, with accelerating transformation of industries, valve manufacturers will focus on improving techniques for high-end products. The number of high-end, middle-end and low-end products will be stable. The domestic market of high-end valves will be filled up. Thirdly, for the higher requirements for valve products, Market will segment in further. Segmentation market will bring considerable profit to valve manufacturers. In general, China valve industry has a bright future.
